Service Description

This is more than a lesson! We will teach you the basics from proper gear to nutrition and training methods. For those renting our gear; We will size your dog for a harness and introduce you to a couple different sled types to choose from. This lesson includes a trail ride; the length will be adjusted to the participants comfort level and abilities. Pairing your dog with one of our experienced puller is an option but will depend on the participant and their dog. The participant has to be physically fit enough to stand on a sled, maneuver the sled and kick/push when needed. The participants dog(s) has to be in good physical health and over one year old (Please book an introduction lesson if your dog is under one year old). This is an outdoor lesson and it's the participants responsibility to dress themselves and their dog (if needed) for the weather. We do not offer this lesson for children under 12. Children aged 12-17 years old need parent permission and be capable of handling their dog on their own. Duration: 1.5 - 2hrs Cost for an adult: $180 ($30 discount for those who already had an introduction lesson with us) -One rider per sled with a max of 2 dogs per participant. Please note that we typically only accommodate one participant at a time - if you have 2 or more dogs, in the same household, and would like to book 2 participants, please email us at info@northboundhuskies.com. -Rental gear is available for an extra fee.
